There aren’t a lot of hardware updates compared to the Galaxy S9 Plus The excellent battery life comes at the cost of a heavy and bulky body. Samsung can take credit for sparking an interest in big phones. The original Galaxy Note ( Review ) with its 5.3-inch screen was met with skepticism and a bit of ridicule at first, but by today’s standards, it would seem almost dainty. The Good The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is a big, beautiful phone with top-tier specs including a massive battery and internal storage that starts at 128GB. The new S Pen doubles as a wireless remote for taking long-distance selfies.

The bad It’s expensive and offers few real innovations over last year’s Note8. The fingerprint reader is uncomfortably close to the camera. The bottom line The ultra-pricey Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is one of the year’s best phones. But unless you’re in dire need of an upgrade, the smart move is to wait for what the next iPhone, Pixel and even Galaxy S10 bring.

A word to the wise for anyone considering purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. This phone is awesome except for this horrible thing known as ” My Bixby”. I activated it before I knew it’s faulting…..and once activated there is no turning back. Playing with the new phone today. Got a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Got rid of the I Phone. Camera quality is better than the I Phone. Also switched carriers. We dumped Verizon for Sprint. We were having too many issues with Verizon. Better plans with Sprint……unlimited data and we can lease our phones. Next year we can get another new phone or buy this one. Plus we get a free music app and Hulu for free.
